Traffic Jam — clear a path and drive your car to the exit
Traffic Jam is a sliding-block traffic puzzle in LEVO's Spatial games category. Each level is a crowded 6×6 parking lot packed with cars and longer trucks; your car — the red one — is boxed in on its row, and the exit is a gap on the right edge of that row. Every vehicle can only slide forward or back along its own lane: cars on a row move left and right, cars in a column move up and down, and none of them can turn. So the whole puzzle is working out the order to nudge the blockers out of the way until the path to the exit is clear and your car can drive straight out. Traffic Jam has 60 handcrafted levels and helps improve planning, spatial reasoning, and problem solving.
How to play
Each level shows a 6×6 lot filled with vehicles — short cars spanning two cells, longer trucks and buses spanning three — laid out horizontally or vertically. Drag any vehicle to slide it along its lane; it stops as soon as it meets another vehicle or the edge of the lot, and it can never change direction or leave its row or column. Your car is the red one, sitting on the row that lines up with the exit gap on the right. Shuffle the blocking vehicles until that row is clear, then slide your car across and out the exit to win. There is no timer and nothing to lose: a move counter tracks your slides against the level's "par" (a suggested best), and Undo, Reset, and a Hint that pulses your car and the exit are there whenever you want them. A one-level guided tutorial demonstrates lane sliding before your first real level.
What it helps improve
- Planning — The order you move the blockers in is the whole puzzle; a good sequence is planned several slides ahead — improving how you organize steps and anticipate outcomes.
- Spatial reasoning — You read the lot as a system of interlocking lanes and picture how each slide opens or closes the path to the exit, strengthening how you visualize and manipulate objects in space.
- Problem solving — Every level is a self-contained logic tangle: the exit route exists, and untangling it is the win — boosting analysis of challenges and finding solutions.
Levels & progression
60 levels, played in order; the pre-game screen shows your highest completed level on a 60-level rail. Traffic Jam is untimed and has no lives or fail state — you can reshuffle the lot as long as you like, and Undo/Reset let you rewind freely. Each level carries a "par" move count shown next to your own total, a gentle efficiency target without any clock or penalty. A single guided tutorial teaches lane sliding up front; from there it is 60 handcrafted lots of rising density.
Questions & answers
What kind of puzzle is Traffic Jam?
It is a sliding-block traffic puzzle. On a 6×6 parking lot packed with cars and trucks, every vehicle slides only forward or back along its own lane; you clear the blockers off your car’s row so it can slide to the exit on the right edge. It is the classic "unblock the car" sliding puzzle, in LEVO’s Spatial games category.
Is Traffic Jam timed?
No. There is no clock, no score, and no lives — you can take as long as you like and Undo or Reset freely. A move counter shows your slides against the level’s par, but it is a target, not a limit; nothing fails a level.
How many levels does Traffic Jam have?
60 levels, played in order. Traffic Jam lists three skills it helps improve in the app: planning, spatial reasoning, and problem solving.
