Inner Archetypes — which of ten inner patterns shapes how you find meaning

Inner Archetypes is a short personality test in LEVO's library of self-assessments. It draws on a model of ten personality archetypes — figures like the Hero, the Seeker, the Maker, and the Witness — inspired by recurring patterns in mythology, literature, and contemplative traditions. You rate 40 statements on a five-point agree-to-disagree scale in about six minutes, and the test surfaces the archetype that best describes how you find meaning, a secondary influence, and where all ten rank for you. It is a research-inspired framework for reflection and conversation — for-fun but thoughtful — not a clinical, diagnostic, or scientifically validated instrument.

The ten archetypes

  • The Hero — Meets challenges head-on; driven to rise, overcome, and leave a lasting mark.
  • The Protector — Shaped by care; notices what people need and feels most alive supporting them.
  • The Seeker — Follows the horizon; pulled forward by new places, ideas, and experiences.
  • The Romantic — Lives for depth of connection and beauty; gives fully and wants the same back.
  • The Maker — Always building; original expression and creating are how they are most themselves.
  • The Philosopher — Seeks to understand for its own sake; trusts evidence and rigorous thinking.
  • The Steward — Takes responsibility; wants to build something lasting and lead it well.
  • The Trickster — Brings lightness; finds humor and play, and makes hard things carriable.
  • The Witness — Watches with depth; finds ground in stillness and clear, unhurried observation.
  • The Warrior — Lives by a code; disciplined, loyal, and willing to stand up for what matters.

Your result

You get an archetype, not a score. The result leads with your primary archetype — shown large, with a portrait made of themed sections: strengths, a shadow (the same drive's blind spots), how the pattern plays out in relationships and in work, and a few growth prompts.

It then names a secondary influence that colors the primary one, and shows how close it runs — so blends are explicit — followed by a full ranking of all ten from strongest to weakest. Almost no one is a single pure type.

Questions & answers

What is the Inner Archetypes test?

Inner Archetypes is a 40-question personality test that places you within a model of ten archetypes — the Hero, Protector, Seeker, Romantic, Maker, Philosopher, Steward, Trickster, Witness, and Warrior. You rate statements on a five-point agree-to-disagree scale, and in about six minutes it identifies your primary archetype, a secondary influence, and how all ten rank for you.

Are these Jungian archetypes?

Not exactly. The word "archetype" is most associated with the psychologist Carl Jung and has been popularized by many later systems, and Inner Archetypes is inspired by that broad cultural tradition — plus recurring figures in mythology and literature. But these ten are LEVO’s own set, written for reflection. They are not Jung’s original archetypes and not a validated psychological instrument.

Is the Inner Archetypes test clinical or a diagnosis?

No. It is for self-exploration and educational purposes only; the result describes patterns in how you answered today and is not a diagnosis, evaluation, or professional assessment.

Can you be more than one archetype?

Yes — almost everyone is a blend. The result leads with the single archetype that fits you best, then names a secondary influence that shapes it, and finally ranks all ten from strongest to weakest.

A few minutes. A clearer mirror.

Inner Archetypes is one of nine personality tests in LEVO — short, scored, and built for reflection.
