Light Order — watch the lamps, repeat the order
Light Order is a sequence memory game in LEVO's brain-training library, in the tradition of classic follow-the-lights games. A grid of coloured lamps flashes a sequence, one lamp at a time — then it's your turn to tap the same lamps back in the same order. It sits on the Memory shelf and helps improve working memory, spatial reasoning, and sustained attention. Order is everything: knowing which lamps lit isn't enough, you have to reproduce when each one lit, which makes it a purer test of sequence recall than any other game on the shelf.
How to play
Each round builds a fresh grid of lamps, then plays its sequence: lamps flash one after another, each lighting once. Watch the order, not just the positions. When the sequence ends, the find phase begins — tap the lamps in exactly the order they lit. Every correct tap lights its lamp and scores; the round is complete when the whole sequence is reproduced. A wrong tap flashes that lamp red, briefly reveals the lamp that should have come next, costs points, and ends the round — the game moves on to the next. Flawless sequences make the next round's grid bigger and its sequence longer; a miss brings it back down. Complete all rounds to finish the level.
What it helps improve
- Working memory — An ordered sequence is the textbook working-memory load — it strengthens your capacity to hold and use information temporarily.
- Spatial reasoning — The sequence lives on a grid, and recalling it means replaying locations — strengthening your ability to visualize and work with positions in space.
- Sustained attention — The sequence plays exactly once, so a moment’s drift can’t be replayed — building endurance in maintaining focus.
Levels & progression
50 levels of rounds, untimed, no lives. Every level starts with a gentle warm-up round, then adapts — perfect sequences push grid size and sequence length up, a wrong tap eases the next round back toward baseline — while base difficulty climbs across the 50 levels. Progress is labelled with the adaptive tiers Novice, Regular, Adept, Master, Expert.
Questions & answers
What happens if I tap the wrong lamp?
The lamp flashes red, the game briefly lights the lamp that was actually next, you lose points, and the round ends. The level continues with the next round — a mistake costs score, never the level.
Can the same lamp appear twice in one sequence?
No. Each round’s sequence lights distinct lamps, one flash each, so every position in the order is a different lamp.
Why does Light Order list spatial reasoning?
Because the sequence is spatial: you are recalling an ordered path across a grid of positions. Its full in-app benefit list is working memory, spatial reasoning, and sustained attention.
Five minutes. One game.
Light Order is one of 32 brain games in LEVO — measure with an IQ test, then train daily.
