Chemist's Lab — sort the elements, one pour at a time

Chemist's Lab is a color-sorting puzzle in LEVO's Popular Games category, styled as a neon chemistry set. Tubes hold stacks of glowing element blocks — lithium, sodium, helium and friends — in mixed order; you pour blocks between tubes until every tube holds four of a single element. It's the classic water-sort mechanic rebuilt around the periodic table, and the whole puzzle is figuring out a pour order that doesn't paint you into a corner. Chemist's Lab has 100 levels and helps improve planning and problem solving.

How to play

Each level shows a row of tubes, most filled with four element blocks in mixed colors, plus some empty space. Tap a tube to lift its top block — along with any matching blocks directly beneath it — then tap another tube to pour them in. A pour is legal only if the target tube is empty or its top block matches the element you are holding, and no tube holds more than four blocks. When a tube collects four matching blocks it seals with a flare and a checkmark. Sort every element into its own sealed tube to win. There is no timer and no fail screen; if you trap yourself, Undo rewinds moves one at a time, and Extra tube adds an empty tube for breathing room.

What it helps improve

  • Planning — A good pour sequence is planned several moves deep; a bad one buries the block you need — it improves your ability to organize steps and anticipate outcomes.
  • Problem solving — Untangling a nearly-stuck board is the game core — it boosts your skill in analyzing challenges and finding effective solutions.

Levels & progression

100 levels, played in order, with the level rail on the pre-game screen. Untimed, no score, no lives — a level completes when every tube is sorted or empty.

Questions & answers

What kind of puzzle is Chemist’s Lab?

It is a sorting puzzle in the water-sort family: instead of colored liquid, you pour glowing element blocks between test tubes until each tube holds four of one element. LEVO’s version wraps the mechanic in a neon chemistry-lab theme.

How do pours work in Chemist’s Lab?

Tap a tube to lift its top block (plus any matching blocks directly under it), then tap a destination. The destination must be empty or already topped with the same element, and tubes hold at most four blocks.

Can you get stuck in Chemist’s Lab?

You can pour yourself into a corner, but the game gives you two outs: Undo rewinds your moves step by step, and Extra tube adds an empty tube to work with. There is no timer or fail state.
