Word Hunt — the classic word search, rebuilt for daily brain training
Word Hunt is a word search game in LEVO's brain-games library: every level hides a list of clue words in a grid of letters, and you find them by dragging straight lines across the board — forwards, backwards, or diagonally. It is the classic puzzle rebuilt for daily cognitive practice: untimed, impossible to fail, and deep enough to stay interesting across 500 levels. Word Hunt helps improve active vocabulary, selective attention, and word fluency, and it is fully localized — six languages, each with its own word lists rather than translations.
How to play
Each level shows a square letter grid — from 5×5 up to 7×7 — with the clue words listed above it as chips. The words are hidden in any of eight directions: across, down, or diagonal, spelled forwards or backwards; every other cell is filled with random letters from the language's alphabet. Press on a letter and drag in a straight line — the selection locks to its direction after the second cell, and a preview bubble shows the word you are spelling. When your selection matches a clue word, it locks onto the board with a colored line and its chip lights up. Find every clue word to complete the level: no timer, no lives, no way to fail. If you get stuck, one hint per level traces a remaining word for you.
What it helps improve
- Active vocabulary — Recognizing real words at a glance keeps them ready for use — Word Hunt helps expand the words you can readily call on in speaking and writing.
- Selective attention — The filler letters are literal distractors; scanning for targets in the noise helps sharpen your focus on relevant information while ignoring the rest.
- Word fluency — Spotting words letter-by-letter, in any direction, helps increase the speed and ease of retrieving and generating words.
Levels & progression
500 levels — the largest count in LEVO, tied with its sibling. Complete a level to advance; the pre-game screen shows completed / total on a level rail. Grids grow from 5×5 to 7×7 with 8–15 clue words per level; longer lists in a denser grid do the difficulty work — no timer is ever added. The 500-level count is identical in all six languages. A short auto-played tutorial teaches the drag before level 1.
